"So Long, Springfield” is a daylong farewell to the beloved and longest running television show of all time, Guiding Light. While adoring fans are tearful that the longest running show in history has been cancelled, the “LIGHT” is not completely extinguished. Although the last episode was aired in September, the show won’t go dark without appropriate fanfare—very much due this beloved soap opera and it’s cherished characters.
"So Long, Springfield” is a once-in-a-lifetime event, featuring 10 of Guiding Light's most popular stars. Fans will enjoy a memorable day with the stars and have a last opportunity to say goodbye and send good wishes to the real people that portray the characters they've come to know and love.

A daytime tribute show, with multiple elements! Participate in an insightful and moving Q & A session and learn interesting behind-the-scenes secrets from a Guiding Light director. Enjoy the unforgettable opportunity to briefly meet and have your picture taken with several of the actors. Don't forget your camera! Some lucky fans will have the incredible chance to act out actual scenes from real Guiding Light scripts with the actors themselves!

The evening festivities are designed to be a special, musical farewell where several of the actors will perform vocal numbers, belt out show tunes, and show you what you never knew they had! The group is then led on a “walk down memory lane,” prompted by a moderator to discuss various subjects that they, in most cases, have never spoken about even with one another. It is an emotional evening of reminiscing and sharing memories--"truly magical." Passed appetizers will begin the evening.
Following the completely entertaining musical portion, where several actors sing, beat box and belt out songs, the group is led on a “walk down memory lane,” prompted by a moderator to discuss various subjects that they, in most cases, have never spoken about even with one another.
